American Clean Power Association (ACP) CEO Heather Zichal is due to leave the industry group next month.
Zichal, who has led the US renewables association for two years, will take on a new role as global head of sustainability at banking giant JPMorgan Chase.
Her last day as CEO will be on 20 October.
The ACP has not yet named a successor. However, ACP chief advocacy officer JC Sandberg will serve as interim CEO, and chief strategy officer Jason Clark will serve as interim president.
The board will work more closely with senior management until a successor is selected, the ACP announced.
The ACP was formed two years ago as a union of the US’s separate wind, solar and storage groups.
During Zichal’s tenure, US president Joe Biden signed into law renewables-boosting legislation including the bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act.
ACP membership has also grown to more than 750 companies.
