RES has sold three Swedish wind energy projects, totalling 290MW and known as its Lycksele portfolio, to Prime Capital AG. Located in Västerbotten County, RES started developing Lycksele in 2007 and the portfolio comprises 45 turbines across three projects: Fjällberg (160MW), Hornmyran (59MW) and Vinliden (71MW).
Through a development services agreement, RES will support Prime Capital to prepare the portfolio for construction in 2023. Once operational, RES will provide asset management services to the portfolio.
Together, the three projects will contribute nearly 1 TWh a year of energy a year, with some of the electricity planned to be used for a green Power-to-X project in the region, the developer says.
RES is currently building two other wind farms in Sweden, Björnberget (372MW) and Gubbaberget (82MW), which it also developed and were acquired by Prime Capital AG in 2020.
