SSE Renewables and TotalEnergies have produced first power from their 1,075MW Seagreen offshore wind farm in the Scottish North Sea.
It is due to consist of 114 of Vestas’ V164-10.0MW turbines and is expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2023.
The wind farm’s deepest foundation is due to be installed 59 metres below the sea level in December – the world’s deepest use of fixed-bottom foundations at an offshore wind farm, its developers claim.
