US wind O&M provider Pearce Renewables acquires MFG Energy Services

US wind operations and maintenance (O&M) provider Pearce Renewables has acquired  Texas-based MFG Energy Services as it expands its US portfolio.

Originally part of Molded Fiber Glass Companies, MFG Energy Services offers composite repair, engineering, maintenance, and inspection services for wind turbine components

Zack Dorfman, Pearce Renewables’ senior vice president of wind, said the deal would “significantly expand [its] blade composite repair and maintenance services for wind turbines”. Pearce claims to be the largest independent service provider in the US renewable energy services market.

The terms of the deal were not revealed.

The deal is Pearce’s seventh acquisition since partnering with New Mountain Capital in March 2020. The other acquisitions are MaxGen Energy Services (2020), World Wind & Solar (2020), Suzlon’s North America O&M business (2020), A & A Wind Pros (2021), Mortenson Energy Services (2021), and Mountain Renewables (2021).
