Offshore wind contractor Seaway 7 has taken delivery of a new semi-submersible heavy transport vessel.
It has acquired the MV Xin Qun 3 vessel from United Faith, and renamed it Seaway Swan.
The 50,000 tonne vessel has an open stern and will extend the company’s capacity to load larger cargoes such as XXL monopiles, Seaway 7 explained.
The Aberdeen-based firm now operates six heavy transport vessels, two heavy-lift vessels and three cable vessels. It also has two offshore wind installation vessels under construction.
