First power at Formosa 2 offshore wind farm

First power has been delivered to the Taiwanese national grid from JERA, Macquarie’s Green Investment Group and Swancor Renewable Energy’s 376MW Formosa 2 project.

The offshore wind farm in the Taiwan Strait is due to feature 47 of Siemens Gamesa’s SG 8.0-167 DD turbines. Twelve have now been installed.

The project is expected to be fully operational later this year.
