Ørsted has appointed Per Mejnert Kristensen as new president for the Asia Pacific region.
Kristensen will join on 1 August, and will be responsible for scaling Ørsted’s regional business.
He replaces Matthias Bausenwein who had stood down in January. In the interim, Ørsted’s deputy CEO Martin Neubert had stood in as Asia Pacific president.
Kristensen has more than 20 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects across Asia. Before joining Ørsted, he led cement and mining supplier FLSmidth’s Asia business.
Since setting up a business unit for Asia Pacific, Ørsted has commissioned 128MW of capacity in Taiwan and built up a multi-gigawatt pipeline across the region.
