RWE Renewables France and floating wind installation firm Bourbon Subsea Service have launched a joint bid in France’s Mediterranean floating offshore auction.
The auction is for two sites in the French Mediterranean, each with a planned capacity of about 250MW, with potential extensions increasing total capacity to 1.5GW.
RWE would not confirm whether the partners bid for one site or both.
It expects the French government to announce the results in the coming weeks.
