Oil and gas engineers Saipem and Havfram have signed a non-binding agreement with HVAS Invest Kappa, a holding company controlled by energy company HitecVision to explore the potential for developing offshore wind farms together.
The three companies will study the technical, organisational and financial aspects of the possible collaboration.
They plan to reach a final agreement by the end of the third quarter of 2022.
The companies have not confirmed what markets they are considering investing in, how much capacity they might look to build, or whether they plan to use fixed-bottom foundations, floating platforms or both.
