Enel Green Power has connected its 180MW Tico wind farm In Zaragoza, north-east Spain to the grid.
The project consists of 26 of Siemens Gamesa’s SG 3.4-132 turbines and 17 of its SG 5.0-132 turbines and is expected to generate about 471GWh annually.
Some of this electricity output will be supplied to global medicines company Novartis through a ten-year deal.
Construction began in May 2021.
