Facebook-owner Meta to buy output from Michigan wind farm

Facebook-owner Meta has agreed to buy all the output from the 112MW Deerfield II wind farm in Michigan.

The project is being developed by Liberty, a subsidiary of Canadian utility Algonquin.

It will consist of 16 of Vestas’s V162-6.2MW turbines and one V150-6.0MW turbine.

Construction began in April 2022. The project is expected to begin commercial operations in 2023.
