German turbine manufacturer's N155/5.X platform with flexible power rating chosen for undisclosed project

Nordex completed its first wind farm in Peru in 2018

Nordex has agreed to supply 30 N155/5.X turbines to an undisclosed 177MW project in Peru’s Ica region.

The Delta4000 series turbines feature a rotor diameter of 155 metres and a flexible power rating.

Construction of the wind farm will start in autumn 2022, after which Nordex will also provide service for ten years.

Peru currently has 450MW of wind capacity. Engie was recently set to begin construction of the country’s largest wind farm, the 260MW Punta Lomitas. It will take Peru’s total installed capacity to over 700MW by 2023.
