Vestas has secured a deal to supply Neoen with 157MW of turbines in Australia – its first order for its EnVentus platform in Asia Pacific.
It is due to supply 28 of its V162-5.6MW turbine for Neoen’s 157MW Kaban Green Power Hub , which will also feature a battery storage component.
The turbines will have tip heights of 230 metres to fully capture the high wind shear of the site in the northernmost part of Queensland, Australia.
Delivery of the turbines will begin in the first quarter of 2022, with commissioning scheduled in the fourth quarter of the same year.
The project represents Vestas’ first EnVentus order in Asia Pacidic and Australia, and Neoen’s first Australian project with Vestas.
