Vestas has secured a deal to supply Terna Energy with 40 turbines for a 144MW wind farm on the Greek island of Evia.
It will provide 40 of its V105-3.45MW turbines operating in 3.6MW power-optimised mode for the µ÷µ÷°²¹°ù²â²õ³Ù¾±²¹-3561»å888-4²ú2±ð-5»å´Ú³¦-1831-8»å»å980±ð´Ú8²ú7±ð°¨°¨Ìýwind farm.
The manufacturer is due to deliver the turbines in Q2 and Q3 2021, ahead of project commissioning in Q3 2022.
It will also service the turbines for ten years.
Head of Vestas’ Greek division Marios Zangas described the site of the future wind farm – on Evia, off the south-east of mainland Greece – as having some of the highest wind speeds in the country.
Vestas installed Greece’s first wind turbine in 1986, and has since installed about 1.8GW of wind turbines – nearly half of the country’s capacity.
Terna Energy has stakes in 519MW of operational onshore wind farms in Greece, and is developing a further 580.6MW, according to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, the research and data division of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç.
