Vattenfall and European clean investor Glennmont Partners will provide balancing services for a new onshore wind farm, due to be one of the largest in Finland.
The two companies will be responsible for lforecasting and trading outputÌýfrom the 211MW Piiparinmäki Ìýwind farm in central Finland.
Tech giant Google will buy a portion of the subsidy-free project’s estimated 700GWh annual production.
Glennmont owns a majority stake (85%) in Piiparinmäki, with Japanese utility Kansai Electric Power holding the 15% remainder.
The project will feature 41 Vestas turbines – 13 V150-4.2MW units and 28 V150-5.6MW turbines – and is due online next year.
