Samruk-Energy聽will build two new wind farms with a combined capacity of 110MW in the聽Almaty and Akmola regions of Kazakhstan.
It is building a 60MW wind farm in Enbekshikazakh district of the Almaty Region, and could expand the project to 300MW.
Construction has begun on 24 wind turbines as well as a substation and transmission lines to be implemented by Energiya Semirechy.
The wind farm is expected to generate 226MWh of electricity per year with turbines able to operate within a temperature range of -30 to +43 掳C.
The second wind power plant is in Erementau town of the Akmola Region.
Samruk-Energy also plans to install a 50MW wind farm comprising eleven 4.8MW turbines supplied聽by German manufacturer Eno Energy.
The station will be operated by 16 technicians. Both new wind farms will supply energy to the National Power Grid of Kazakhstan.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) and UniCredit Bank Austria have committed total funding of 鈧107.4 million for a 143MW repowering project in Austria.
Austrian developer聽P眉sp枚k聽Group's wind farm is due online by the end of 2021, when it聽will provide around 90,000 households with electricity produced from renewable energy sources.
EIB's share is backed by a guarantee from the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the financial pillar of the Investment Plan for Europe.
The EIB vice-president responsible for operations in Austria, Andrew McDowell, said: 鈥淎ustria is emphatically pursuing its changeover to a sustainable, competitive and secure energy supply. The development of wind power is playing an important role in this energy transition.
鈥淎s the EU climate bank, we have made the transition to renewable sources of energy a key policy objective and a priority sector for our financing.鈥
P眉sp枚k聽Group will head up the construction which should be finalised before the end of 2021.
Lukas P眉sp枚k, managing partner of the 笔眉蝉辫枚办,听said the repowering project triples the energy produced over the same surface area, 鈥渢estifying to the technological and economic progress made in the use of wind power in the last 20 years鈥.
