Up for grabs: a queue forms for Senvion's servicing deals

Wanted Down Under: There is roughly 1.9GW of Senvion's servicing contracts available in Australia

The demise of Senvion has been well documented and in its wake a pipeline of turbine orders and servicing contracts could be made available.

According to data collated by “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, the research and data division of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç, roughly 2,500 turbines under contract are either already installed or due to be.

“uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence suggests the largest amount of business could be found in Australia with 724 turbines, worth 1.9GW.

Siemens Gamesa is in negotiations with the beleaguered manufacturer for selected European assets, including servicing deals and locations, meaning as much as 2GW in “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence’s data could be taken.

Senvion also spun-off its Indian business to its own entity in August, so the future of those projects remains unclear.

But potential third-party deals in the US and Chile could also be available.
