Airvolution was working to develop a 300MW onshore wind pipeline in Scotland on Statkraft’s behalf since October 2017.
Under the terms of this new transaction, Statkraft will bring Airvolution in-house, retain the developer’s Scottish office and double it in size, the Norwegian firm said.
Stakraft aims to have 600MW of both onshore wind and solar generation in the UK by 2025.
Airvolution already has an operational onshore wind portfolio of 46.2MW, according to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, the research and data division of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç.
"Bringing the team in-house is a natural progression of that partnership, significantly strengthening our ability to deliver against our ambitious targets for the UK," said Statkraft’s UK managing director David Flood.
Statkraft had previously acquired the Irish and UK pipeline of Irish developer Element Power as part of its plans to grow its UK portfolio.
The developer is also targeting 6GW onshore wind and 2GW of solar PV globally by 2025.
