It hs formed a joint venture with Chinese power utility China Energy Investment Corporation (CEI) to deliver the Dongtai IV and V wind farms off the coast of Jiangsu province, north of Shanghai.
The 302MW Dongtai IV was commissioned in December 2019, while the 200MW Dongtai V is due online in 2021.
EDF subsidiaries EDF Renewables and EDF China own a combined 37.5% stake in the two wind farms, while CEI's Shenhua Renewables and Shenhua Clean Energy Holdings own the 62.5% remainder.
EDF Renewables now has shares in 6.5GW of offshore wind capacity in operation or under development.
It also operates more than 300MW of onshore wind and solar capacity in China.
