Vestas will build the Tafila project for a joint venture of South Korean utility Korean Southern Power and compatriot Daelim Energy.
Developer Daelim said PPAs were agreed with Jordan's National Electric Power Company (Nepco) in 2016, and the project reached financial close in September 2018.
Vestas will supply the 15 V136-3.45MW turbines to the site, as well as carry out all of the related construction and project infrastructure.
It is the Danish manufacturer's fourth EPC contract in Jordan. It previously built the 117MW Al Talifah project, which came online in 2015.
Vestas is also building the 89MW Al Fujeij and 45MW Shobak sites in the nearby Ma'an governate.
The deal includes 20-year servicing of the project, once it is commissioned in early 2020.
In-Gyu Kim, vice-president of Daelim and vice-chairman of the joint venture Daehan Wind Power, said "To take a first step into a new market is always challenging, and in this project we had to negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
The project will be aided by the country's Green Corridor transmission initiative to help drive the kingdom to 25% renewable energy by 2021.
