Siemens Gamesa wins 200MW deal in Texas

UNITED STATES: Engie North America has specified Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) SWT-2.625-120 turbines for its 199.5MW Live Oak project in Schleicher County, Texas, the company announced at “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç 2018 in Chicago.

The first SGRE SWT-2.625-120 turbine was installed at Rock Falls wind farm in Oklahoma in September 2017

The deal includes a ten-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery of the turbines starts in July with commissioning scheduled for year end.

The turbines blades will be manufactured at SGRE's Ford Madison facility in Iowa, with the nacelles and hubs assembled at Hutchinson factory in Kansas.

SGRE has more than 2,000 turbines installed in Texas for an installed capacity of over 4MW.
