The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) issued permission for the 120MW project in December, PNE said.
It means the sale of Gode Wind 3, following Gode Wind 1 and 2, to Dong Energy can be completed after the deal was initially reached in 2012.
Dong agreed to buy the combined 950MW of capacity for an upfront fee of €57 million, plus milestone add-ons.
However, the sale of Gode 3 was conditional on the project receiving permission from the authorities.
"The path to obtaining the planning permission has not always been easy. The intensive work and high quality of the project ensured our success, which will also be reflected by a milestone payment to PNE Wind. With its five planning permissions to date, PNE Wind is one of the most successful offshore developers in Germany," said PNE chief executive Markus Lesser.
Dong completed Gode Wind 1 and 2, with a combined 582MW of capacity in 2016. Dong spun the remaining 252MW of capacity off in to a fourth project following its acquisition from PNE Wind. Gode Wind 4 is still in early development, according to WPO Intelligence, the research and data division of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Offshore.
