Esbjerg Port in south-west Denmark is one of the country's busiest, and one of the most important in Europe's offshore wind industry.

Last year more than 6,400 ships called in at the harbour.

This photograph, taken on 2 August, shows seven jack-up vessels in port, being loaded for components for wind projects in the North Sea.

Siemens and MHI Vestas are using Esbjerg for their installation activities across the North Sea.

Siemens is supplying the Netherlands' 600MW Gemini project and Germany's 288MW Sandbank. MHI Vestas is using the port to transport turbines to the UK's 400MW Rampion development and the 165MW Nobelwind project off the Belgian coast.
