GE will provide 73 turbines from its 3MW platform, probably the 3.4-137 model, to 12 sites being developed by UKA.
The 3.4MW turbine was unveiled by GE at EWEA 2015 in Paris last November. The 137-metre rotor is for IEC class lll low-wind conditions. Installation of the 12 projects will begin in 2018, GE said.
All the turbines included in the framework deal will be offered with GE's digital wind farm analytics software.
GE has also won the contract to supply 11 of its 2.75MW turbines to the Duben Sud wind project for UKA. Duben Sud is set to be commissioned in 2016 with GE providing servicing for 15 years.
