TURKEY: Local developer Estini Enerji has awarded a 54MW order to Siemens to supply a project in west Turkey.

Siemens 3.2MW turbine will power the Kinik project in west Turkey
The Kinik project is located 80km north of Izmir on Turkey's west coast. Siemens will supply 17 SWT-3.2-108 turbines to the site during the summer months, and completion is expected in autumn 2016.

Estini Enerji has also contracted the manufacturer to service the turbines for ten years. According to the company website, the Kinik project is Estini's first wind project.

It is Siemens' first reported contract in Turkey since October 2013. Then it received a 165MW deal from the Guris Group to supply three projects.

The manufacturer claimed to have 235MW of operating capacity in Turkey, and a further 350MW under construction or ordered.

Siemens was the equal-fourth largest onshore manufacturer in 2015 by commissioned capacity, with 3.1GW installed, according to figures by Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
