Vestas will supply and install 15 V117-3.3MW turbines to the Florida II project, and service them for ten years.
The turbines are due to arrive at the site in early 2016 and the project is expected online before the end of the year. Glymont is a partnership between joint project developers Akuo Energy and Eurus Energy America.
Akuo said the project will be its third in Uruguay, taking its installed capacity there to 142MW.
Power from Florida II has been bought by state utility UTE, Vestas said. Florida II is an extension of the 50MW Florida I project, developed by Akuo and commissioned in 2013. It uses 21 Nordex N117-2.4MW turbines.
In 2013, Vestas provided turbines to Akuo at the 42MW Minas site, also in Uruguay.
