This is the first confirmed order with Gul Ahmed Energy, and the third Pakistan order for the German manufacturer this year.
The turbines will be configured for temperatures of up to 45 degrees Celsius, which makes it possible to obtain the largest possible energy capture, according to Nordex.
In April, Nordex won two orders of 100MW each for the same 2.5MW turbine model, again in the Sindh province. The projects are owned by Yunus Energy and Metro Power Company.
These deals follow a master supply agreement the manufacturer signed in 2011 with Fauji Foundation, Gul Ahmed Energy, Metro Power Company and Yunus Energy for projects in Sindh. Nordex has so far installed around 150MW, and claims to be market leader in the country.
