The contract is for 38 V110 2MW low wind turbines to go to the Black Oak Getty wind project in Stearns County, Minnesota. According to Vestas the project will be commissioned in Q2 2016.
The deal includes a 20-year-year service agreement.
In a statement, Vestas US president Chris Brown said: "The workhorse V110-2.0 MW turbine that has been selected for the Black Oak Getty wind farm has a strong track record of performance and reliability."
According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç's data division, “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, Vestas is also set to supply V110 turbines for the 82MW Odell project in Minnesota.
Previous Sempra turbine suppliers have included GE and Siemens.
