Speaking to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç TV, A2Sea chief operating officer Hans Schneider said that the introduction of a "zero-harm project" has brought health and safety incidents at the company down to below the levels recorded in the oil and gas industry.
"We reached a certain level and we were stuck, and we wanted to improve from that position. We said we want to do something differently, and then we introduced the zero-harm project," Schneider said.
Prior to the introduction of the programme, Schneider said the company's record on health and safety was significantly worse than the oil and gas industry.
"Both the companies and the industry weren't mature enough, it is a matter of maturing the industry and all of the environment around it in terms of how you approach health and safety," he said.
