Fred Olsen Windcarrier opens Hamburg office

GERMANY: Vessels supplier Fred Olsen Windcarrier has opened a business unit in Hamburg to run its German offshore projects.

Fred Olsen Windcarrier officially opened on 1 January 2015. It will also support Fred Olsen's related companies Universal Foundation and Global Wind Service, which will share the new office space.

Former EnBW project manager of grid affairs Iris Stempfle has joined the company as general manager to run the German unit.

Fred Olsen Windcarrier managing director Rolf Normann, said the company is "committed to the German market".

The group has previously installed turbines at the Bard Offshore 1, and wind projects.
