Under the agreement, EDF will contribute investment opportunities while Amundi will handle project investment. The principle aim is to recruit retail and institutional investors.
The two companies said they would offer two products. The first would be devoted to renewables energy, including wind power and solar. The second will focus on energy saving products for the business and manufacturing sectors.
Amundi CEO Yves Perrier said: "This partnership with EDF is part of Amundi's strategy to design innovating investment solutions for its clients whilst addressing investment challenges faced by corporates".
