Richterich to head Siemens onshore wind

GERMANY: Thomas Richterich is to head Siemens onshore wind division, replacing Jan Kjaersgaard, who announced he would leave the company in June.

Richterich was previously CEO of Nordex

Richterich take up the postition as CEO of the division on 8 September after leaving his position as head of Vestas Central Europe in December.

He was previously CEO of Nordex and was with the German manufacturer for nine years until 2012.

Richterich replaces Jan Kjaersgaard, who has been named as the new CEO of Bladt Industries, replacing Peter Rindebaek at the helm.

Kjaersgaard only took up the position as Siemens onshore wind CEO in March, following a restructuring of the company. He is also deputy chairman of vessels firm A2Sea, 49% of which is owned by Siemens.
