GE Energy Financial Services has bought a holding in the two projects from developer Atria Power Corp as well as a third project with a capacity of 50MW, which will be supplied by another unnamed turbine manufacturer. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Work has already started on the first project - a 25.7MW in the Anantapur region of Andhra Pradesh – with commissioning due in September. It will feature GE's 2.85-100 turbines. The machines were manufactured at GE's factory in Pune, Maharashtra.
The two other projects will both have capacities of 50MW and will be built in the state of Madhya Pradesh. They are both expected to be completed in June 2015.
