Tennet will construct the grid for the country's offshore wind projects over the next decade, which has a planned total capacity of 3.45GW.
It will be responsible for making sure the energy produced by the sites in the North Sea makes its way to the national grid.
Tennet said the agreement would lead to a structured approach, offering standardisation and cost savings.
The environmental impact would also be reduced compared to the current system of individual grid connections, said Tennet.
It added that the Dutch government will soon announce the locations of the offshore projects, which will allow Tennet to prepare a plan for the structured grid system.
