Creyke Beck set for habitat assessment

UK: Forewind will meet with environmental bodies next week to discuss the 2.4GW Creyke Beck development in the North Sea.

The Dogger Bank block is 125 kilometres from shore

The developer will meet with the government's planning inspectorate and other interested parties to discuss the matters relating to biodiversity, biological environment, ecology, and habitats regulation assessment.

It will discuss the impact on marine mammals, seabirds and other marine life, as well as intertidal issues.

The hearing will be heard at the KC Stadium in Hull, 3-4 June, and will be attended by several bodies including East Riding of Yorkshire council, the Environment Agency and the RSPB.

Creyke Beck is comprised of two 1.2GW projects and is the first development of the 7.2GW Dogger Bank proposal being developed by the Forewind consortium.
