It is Siemens' first order in the Saskatchewan province and includes a ten-year service and maintenance agreement. Construction will begin this summer.
Siemens is to supply a direct drive version of the 2.3MW turbine with a 113-metre rotor. Siemens' 2.3MW turbines are also being used at the South Kent project in Ontario, which has been completed this week.
The Morse project represents an addition of over 10% total wind power generation capacity in Saskatchewan.
Canada's total installed capacity stands at 7.8GW after the industry installed a record-breaking 1,599MW last year, which included the 300MW Lac Alfred project in Quebec.
Canada has added an average of more than 1GW new capacity a year over the past five years and is expected to continue to do so until at least 2016.
