The 46 2.1MW turbines will be based on designs licensed from US company Northern Power Systems (NPS).
The client is local consortium Energias dos Ventos, controlled by investment firm Alupar Investimentos in partnership with state utility Eletrobras-Furnas and developer CPFL.
The deals include one firm contract for the 19.2MW Goiabeira wind project.
The remaining deals are what WEG describes as "pre-agreements" for four projects: Ubatuba (12.6MW), Santa Catarina (16MW), Pitombeira (27MW) and Ventos de Horizonte (14.4MW). WEG is also penned in to service all projects for the first ten years of operations.
All five projects won power purchase agreements at the "A-5" federal power auction in 2011.
WEG signed its technology transfer agreement with NPS in August 2013, marking the termination of an earlier transfer agreement with Egyptian-Spanish technologist MTorres Olvega Industries (MTOI).
NPS fully merged with US investment company Mira III Acquisition Corp this week.
