The eight German contracts are from Juwi, ABO Wind and Max Bögl Wiesner for 44 GE 2.5MW turbines with a 120-metre rotor. The majority of the orders are from a framework agreement with developer Juwi.
GE will supply the first turbines to Juwi's Rehborn wind farm in southern Germany. The machine is set to become a key part of what GE hopes will become a two-digit market share in Germany.
In France, the company was handed a deal for 27 2.85MW turbines from Boralex and Innovent Invest. The machines will be used in two projects in Picardy and Nord Pas-de-Calais.
The Swedish deal covers the installation of six GE 1.6-100 turbines on the 9.6MW Erikshester wind farm in the south of the country for developer Erikshester Vindpark.
Utility SSE renewables has also ordered ten GE 1.6-100 machines for installation on its 16MW Langhope Rig wind farm in southern Scotland, UK.
