Siemens signs co-development deal with Mita-Teknik

DENMARK: Siemens Industry Sector has signed an agreement with control systems specialist Mita Teknik to develop technology for the manufacturer's turbines.

The first product to come out of the agreement will be the GL2010 Safety System, which Mita Teknik is highlighting at this week's  European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) 2014 event.

In a statement, Mita-Teknik said it had been appointed as "solution partner" in wind for Siemens worldwide.The agreement will also be officially unveiled at the event.

Speaking about the deal, Alexander Spoerk, Siemens director for vertical market management Wind, said: "Reliability and availability are key success factors in the wind industry. Integration of Siemens´ leading automation technology into the portfolio of Mita-Teknik is a significant enhancement to fulfil these equirements. Customers will benefit from the combined new offer."
