Priority is to be given to construction of the new A26 motorway link, followed by a push to attract small industry and only thirdly to wind power, parish mayor Hans-Wilhelm Bösch told “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç today.
For the future, a wind project is expected but will have 11-13 smaller turbines. The Areva machine was to have a 180-metre rotor diameter and stand 250 metres tall, he said. Areva had hoped to have the turbine commissioned by Q4 2015, he added.
The site was originally selected because it is in the same district, Stade, as Areva's blade factory, Bösch said.
