Denmark’s minister for climate, energy and building will approve the contract notice which follows the Danish Energy Agency’s consultation on the criteria required by companies to bid for the project.
The draft prequalification criteria looked at the financial, economic and technical aspects of the site, which lies 10km from Blåvandshuk, off Denmark’s west coast.
The consultation closed on 23 October and the agency received a number of contributions which addressed misunderstandings with the text and to make the document easier to understand.
In March applications for pre-qualification for Horns Rev 3 will open and are also due to close.
A concession award and construction permit for the development are scheduled for early 2015.
