In addition, the training at the centre will be made available to technicians from Siemens' wind power customers.
The centre is kitted out with two full-size nacelles, three 30-foot towers, hydraulic modules, and a service crane for use during the training.
"As more wind energy projects come online in the US and across the region, highly skilled technicians will be needed to provide the long-term service and maintenance required to help insure the turbines operate at peak production, availability and reliability levels," the company said in a statement.
