The blades will be deployed on 6MW offshore turbines, says general manager, Qiao Guanghui. It is testing them in simulated severe storms in a test centre and expecting to complete development in the fourth quarter of this year.
Zhongfu Lianzhong is Asia’s largest producer of MW wind blades and the third largest. It is currently the only company in China capable of manufacturing offshore wind blades in volume.
