One of the most-respected names in offshore wind health and safety (H&S) consultancy, PMSS, has been chosen by the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) to advise it on how to oversee H&S should any offshore wind projects be built off the US east coast.
PMSS will develop a model safety management system (SMS), audit criteria and safety procedures for a hypothetical offshore wind farm in the US Outer Continental Shelf.
The contract win is a significant one for PMSS, which has built a strong name for its H&S consultancy services to the European offshore wind industry. The BSEE project positions PMSS to take a similarly-leading role within the US offshore wind sector.
