Located around 30 kilometres from the Lincolnshire coast in eastern England, the Triton Knoll project could comprise of up to 288 turbines with a total capacity of 1.2GW.
The preferred locations for a substation and intermediate electrical compound were announced following consultations with local residents and businesses as well as the local planning authorities.
"We received some valuable feedback from the local communities," said Triton Knoll project manager Jacob Hain.
"It has crucially influenced the design of the electrical system. For example, we have now committed to build an alternative construction road that avoids the village of Bicker," he added.
