Vestas CEO Engel comes last in Danish industry survey

DENMARK: Vestas CEO Ditlev Engel scores bottom in a survey of top industry leaders in Denmark by national newspaper Berlingske Tidende.

The newspaper asked a mixture of head hunters, investors, stock market leaders and leadership experts to evaluate leaders of companies trading in the Copenhagen Stock Exchange's C20 index by answering the question: Has the company got the right boss?

On a 1-to-10 scale, Engel managed only 3.36, two whole points below the next man on the ladder. The top score, 9.27, went to Lars Rebien Sørensen, head of Novo Nordisk, a pharmaceuticals company.

Engel's low evaluation, comments the newspaper, is down to poor results and communication.

Last year, Engel was ranked the most influential figure in the wind industry by “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç.
