Vestas wins 27MW Belgian order

BELGIUM: Vestas has been handed a 27MW order from Aspiravi and Limburg Wind to go to three projects in Belgium.

Three V112 3MW and nine V90 2MW turbines will be delivered to three projects in Flanders. Delivery is set for the end of the year, with construction scheduled for Q1 2014.

This marks the first time an onshore V112 has been ordered in Belgium. Aspiravi is one of the co-developers of the 216MW Northwind offshore project, which uses V112 turbines.
