Harbin manufacturers GE's 1.6MW turbine.
The project will use 31 1.6MW turbines, with 82.5-metre rotor blades, made by the GE-Harbin Electric joint venture in Shenyang city, north-east China.
This is the second EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) wind project Harbin Electric International has won in Pakistan. In September, it signed a deal to build the 52.8MW Master wind power project.
The Master wind farm is located 135 kilometres south-east of Karachi, in Sindh province, and uses 33 1.6MW turbines.
The deal includes a two-year operationa and maintenance contract two years. Harbin Electric International said it expected to further explore wind power market in Pakistan and other countries.
