Repower to launch in Romania

ROMANIA: Repower has announced it is planning to launch a Romanian subsidiary following a 25MW contract win in the country.

The Suzlon-owned company will base Repower Systems Romania in Bucharest. It will be headed up by managing director Jan Gasche.

The announcement follows a 25MW contract win from German wind developer WSB International. Repower will supply eight MM114 3.2MW turbines for a project in Neamt county in northern Romania. The project will be commissioned by Q3 2013.

According to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç's , Romania added 332MW in the third quarter to take its wind capacity to 1.3GW.
