It is the second time in three weeks that protesters have been arrested at the 65MW project, under construction on Lowell Mountain.
"We held up construction all morning," demonstrator Carrie Young told local media as she was arrested on Monday. "We tried legal ways to stop the destruction of the mountain, and they haven’t worked."
Protester Keith Ballek added: "A whole line of trucks were up here, as many as 30 workers and nine trucks, and we blockaded them."
The opponents say they object to the project’s environmental impact, especially because the site is in a pristine mountainous area.
Green Mountain Power (GMP) is trying to erect 21 V112 turbines at the site by year’s end so that the entire project can qualify for the Production Tax Credit.
